We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and build a new product from the ground up. We are looking for strong experience with data transformation on datasets using open technologies like Spark, DuckDB, and Airflow.

Given that this is an early-stage initiative, you will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and building quick prototypes or proofs of concept.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes to support the rapidly growing and dynamic business processes requiring high-quality data.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing and implementing scalable extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes to support the rapidly growing and dynamic business processes, requiring high-quality data.
• Take full ownership of the technical architecture, design, and implementation of our data platform and related tools.
• Establish collaboration with stakeholders and other engineering leaders to define and develop our data platform roadmap.
• Act as a subject matter expert to leadership for technical guidance around the solution design and best practices.

Requirements:

• More than 5 years working as a Data Engineer
• 3+ years of strong experience with data transformation on datasets using open
  technologies such as Spark, SQL, DuckDB, DBT, Pandas, and Jupyter Notebook.
• 3+ years of complex SQL with strong knowledge of SQL optimization and understanding of logical & physical execution plans.
• Advanced Modern Data Warehouse concepts & Big Data Modeling experience (i.e. Relational, Dimensional, logs at scale)
• Strong knowledge of Python and UNIX Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of Spark is a Plus (Batch/Streaming), Spark SQL, and PySpark
• Experience working with various stakeholders to master the data domain and manipulate data to fit the needs of the business.
• Strong English communication skills - Minimum B2 level proficiency
